Thursday Thirteen #12

Thirteen things you may not know about me
1. I hate the look of yellow gold. Give me white gold or platinum any day.
2. I’m a little obsessive-compulsive about my bathroom being clean.
3. For some reason this strange need to have things clean does not extend as far as my kitchen.
4. I am the oldest of 23 great-grandchildren (Dad’s maternal side).
5. I have had an online journal of some sort since May 2000.
6. I’m sad that I don’t get to watch The View very much anymore. However, I no longer aspire to be on the show. I think I would get a headache.
7. I prefer rainy weather. Over everything else.
8. Despite the fact that I am an English major, punctuation, capitalization and all that stuff really means nothing to me. I’m not a grammar major, hello.
9. I love dinner parties and cooking for people.
10. Roses are not my thing (unless they are yellow or orange-ish). I like daffodils and lilies.
11. When I saw that there was a new Starbucks going up down the street from my house, it sealed the deal. I’ll be living here a few more years at least.
12. My feet are always cold. Poor circulation I guess.
13. Heather and Aaryn probably know more about me than any other friends I have had in my entire life. And I’ve known them less time than most of my other friends. That’s college for you.

    Elizabeth,

I like your list. #5 is cool- I wish I had started a blog or at least kept a written journal sooner. #6-thinking about the view gives me a headache…#11, I know it’s in to be down on starbucks, but it is a comforting thing to know what it will be like inside, and exactly how your drink will taste-especially in a foreign country.-so I am agreeing with you.
#12-had that problem since I was 10 or so…found out it is a medical condition, at least now my husband has some sympathy and doesn’t yell out “my god woman, are you dead!” when I touch him, or put my cold feet against him. Now he warms my hands and stuff.

happy TT! mine is up, by my guest-Hen…come visit

We’ve got a lot in common – especially #10! Roses are very overdone…

    Happy TT!

If you love rainy weather, you would be in heaven here! It’s raining and I’m home with a sick child, so perfect day for putting my feet up and reading or blog-reading.

Happy Thursday Thirteen! It’s only my second week…fun so far.

  4. Brony says:

Wow that is a lot of great-grandchildren.
So are you telling me it is safe to use your bathroom, but not to eat in your kitchen?LOL!
Thanks for helping us get to know you.
    Happy TT!

I love watching The View but it gets stressful sometimes seeing them all try to talk at once.

  7. Sally says:

Your list made me fondly remember my college days. Truly the best friends you’ll make. Living with people can be so fun and so crazy at the same time. I laughed about your bathroom obsession. Do your roommates share that obsession, or do they drive you crazy?!

  8. Hi Elizabeth…love, love, love your name; that is my 19 year old daughter’s name, and I think it’s the most beautiful name in the world! Plus, it’s just as beautiful as you get older…it will never go out of style.

OK, enough about the name. :) Great TT; I love learning more about people, and I might borrow this idea for a TT sometime soon!

Mine is up…stop by when you have a moment.

Great list – nice to learn more about you. :) My feet are almost always cold too (as well as my hands). Roses are lovely, but I prefer other flowers (like carnations) since roses die so quickly.

    Happy T13. :)
