Definitely. That's a lesson that needs to be relearned, unfortunately... The most useful math course I ever took was Practical Business Math, in high school. They taught us how to balance a checkbook, fill out tax forms, watch credit card statements, calculate compound interest, understand what banks are saying, decipher store pricing schemes, calculate discounts...all kinds of really good, useful, helpful things that are just somehow not taught to kids in the AP and college prep tracks...and I don't know that there are "basic daily coping skills" courses in any universities, either.
