So, I was raised with some beliefs that not many people share, myself included, but I just want to preface this by saying that I respect anyone who does hold these beliefs. Including my parents. Anyway, while I was growing up we never saw movies in the theater. I say never but I actually saw two when I was younger. Most movies I have seen in a theater have been in the past 4-5 years. This means I haven’t seen very many. And most of the ones I HAVE seen were pretty awful. Here goes!

I’ve only seen #12 in the theater. The rest I have seen on DVD. Having a seven year old little boy, I do not get to see many grown-up movies in the theater! Haha!
I’ve seen a lot of those, but none in the theater! The last movies I’ve visited were the LOTR ones.
My TT is a slideshow of 13 fungi pictures I made last weekend.
those aree some great movies!
That’s a nice list…I think I’ve seen most of those as well.. though I think in your list, my fave is Phantom of the Opera.. though it doesn’t really compare to the stage production.
Many of our family friends would not go to the movies but my parents broke out of the mold and took us to the drive-in when we were little to see all the Walt Disney movies…
Fun TT!
I saw 7 and 8 in a theatre. I loved the Bridget Jones one but the Ring sequel wasn’t nearly as good as the first one.

I love Pocahontas:) I was still in high school that time so, I never had the chance to watch it in the movie house!
Happy TT! Mines up as well;)
I’ve only seen #13 and that was on cable. Going to the movies where I live is absolutely miserable. In the past year I’ve only seen 1 movie in the theater.
SJ Reidhead
The Pink Flamingo
Going to the theater can be fun, but it’s also quite nice to snuggle up on the couch and let Netflix handle things for you.
Have a great TT!
Because of movies like these, we have a statement: Rental. I do like seeing the big epic movies in the theaters, but now that the kids are older, I don’t HAVE to go with them.
I believe I saw The Ring Two, The Notebook, and Phantom of the Opera in the theater; I don’t get out much, either! It’s just easier to see a DVD in the comfort of your living room. Too, my hubby doesn’t like to go to movies!
I love Dirty Dancing. I haven’t seen any of the others. I quit watching TV and movies about four years ago. Have a great TT.
Finding Neverland is a favorite of mine. I enjoyed your list!
HAPPY TT!
Love the list, and I love the #1. One of my fave movies. LOL. I am a sucker for Disney movies.
Wow, I’ve seen some of those but none in a theatre. I really need to get out more.

My parents didn’t let me go to films either (this was back in the Seventies), so I’m now the only person my age in the entire western hemisphere who has never seen “Billy Jack” or “Summer of ‘42.”
Interesting list you’ve got there—though it’s certainly the case that the FIRST Bridget Jones was far superior to the second and I hope you get to see it. “Phantom” must have been quite overwhelming as well as an extremely silly film (what works in the theater doesn’t always work on film…”
I don’t go to the movie theater very often so, haven’t seen a lot of these, but I have rented #4 and 12. Happy TT!
2004 seems to be the year for movies! Mine was my senior year in high school, I worked at a theater then
Happy TT13
Great TT! Since we had kids, I only get to see movies in a theater rarely — unless we’re on our yearly couple-vacation. We tend to gravitate to big, splashy, special effects films. Last movie I saw in the theater was the second Pirates movie.
I reckon I’ve only seen two of those at the theater… I mostly only go to the theater to watch epics, really.
Happy TT
Good chick flicks and a few horror
I love going to the movies.
Thinking back to how frequently dh and I went when we were engaged…yikes. We blew a lot of $!
I hope you enjoyed The Notebook. I love that movie. And John Tucker Must Die-just saw that recently. Not the best, but I found it comical enough.
Thanks for sharing!
I have to say Spanglish is one of my all time faves.
Fun list
I’ve rented several of those, but never watched them in the theatre. The last two I’ve seen in the theatre were The Number 23 and the new Halloween.
Happy TTing! I’ve seen a few of those in theaters, my most recent theater movie was “Invasion.” Very good for the scare factor.
I have seen nearly all of those! Happy TT =)
i love 3, 4, & 10- and the first bridget jones but not the sequel (still mad at how they messed that up!)
my parents rarely see movies in theaters too. how they got me as their movie-crazy daughter i’ll never know. before we became parents, my husband & i usually saw 2 or 3 movies in the theater A WEEK- now, it’s maybe that many a month.
I saw way too much junk in the theater and at the drive-in movies when I was a kid, including R-rated pix like The Midnight Express, Deliverance and Dirty Harry.
Yick. You didn’t miss anything, believe me, and probably gained a lot from the experience.
I almost never go to movies anymore. They are too much of a rip-off and way too expensive.
Happy TT!
Hey, you just show up everywhere! Thanks for stopping by
I’ve only seen #1, but not in theaters.
