April 8th
11:00 am – Find really cool temp job opening with company I have been interested in for some time while randomly visiting a website to read list of nominees for “Oklahoma’s Rock Song.”
12:31 pm – E-mail cover letter and resume to said company.
3:57 pm – Get word back from company saying they need to make a decision soon. They ask me to come in for an interview the next day.
April 9th
8:53 am – Show up for 9 am interview to avoid severe storms expected later in the day.
9:33 am – Am finished with what I feel like was a good interview.
9:45 am – Take wrong turn, end up in north OKC.
9:50 am – Call Dad. He tells me what I need to do to get back home. Which I was about to do anyway, but that’s beside the point. Thank you, Dad.
10:21 am – Arrive home. Let puppy out to take a tinkle before it starts to rain.
10:34 am – Receive e-mail OFFERING ME THE JOB!
Thank you, Lord, for this wonderful opportunity! It’s such a blessing. I just wanted to let you all know what’s been taking up the past couple of days. The job goes until June 20, but I am hoping that there will be another opening there toward the end of my temp position. Of course, I’m not going to share the details about who I am working for on my blog (because I don’t want to get dooced), but feel free to comment and ask! I’ll gladly tell you about this wonderful company and what they do via e-mail.
So…yay!
