Very large guinea pig?

The only reason I even know what this is is because it’s a relative of the guinea pig, and as you know I used to have some. Oh. I miss Wilmadean. She was precious.

But anyway, it looks like they are saying that the Montauk Monster could be a Capybara.

What do you think?

Hideous Creature of the Underworld or Cute, Over-sized Guinea Pig?
yipes! aww :)

Kevin, instead of my goat (for those of you who don’t know, I hope to own a goat sometime in the future, as well as a few chickens, maybe a cow, lots of cats, and a few ridiculous poodle mixes), do you think we could raise these things? We could have our own Capybara farm! Just think, they could be a bigger hit than the Alpaca!

I love capybaras! They’re the world’s largest rodents and as a mom of three rat boys, I am a big fan of rodents! I imagine them as giant squishy rats full of fun and intelligence :)

If you like guinea pigs, you should see the episode of Globe Trekker that aired last Thursday night. The host was the yummy guy who played Will in “Alias,” and he went down to Peru (or was it Argentina?) where he both ate and slept with guinea pigs. I’ve never been a fan of having to clean out cages myself.
