The things Claire’s daughters found while digging remind me a lot of the treasures I would find will digging in the hill our house was built on. It was constructed some time in the 1930s over the plot that once was home to the movie theater in town and near where the roller skating rink had been. Anyone who knows what Pernell, Oklahoma looks like now and wasn’t aware that those things were there almost 100 years ago will probably think I am lying
