Our big news hit the local papers this week. Last weekend it was in the Pauls Valley Daily Democrat and today in The Duncan Banner. Of course, the Banner managed to mess it up a little (When do they NOT? Can someone please answer this?), but I thought I’d share the text of the announcement that appeared in the PVDD last weekend (written by moi).
Elizabeth J. and Kevin C., both of Norman, have selected Saturday, June 6, 2009, as the day they will exchange vows at 6 o’clock in the evening at Bethel Church in Duncan, Oklahoma.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Tim and Nita J.of Pernell.
She is the granddaughter of Arnold and Wynema J. of Ratliff City, Gerald and Barbara W. of Duncan, and Sally G. of Weir, Texas.
The prospective groom is the son of Stewart and Susan C. of Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
He is the grandson of Julia Mae C. and the late John Franklin C. of Clinton, North Carolina, Robert and Phyllis K. of Currituck, North Carolina, and the late Catherine K.
The bride-elect graduated from Elmore City – Pernell High School in 2003. She received a bachelor’s degree in English – Writing from the University of Oklahoma in 2008. She is employed by a church media company in Norman.
The prospective groom graduated from Magruder High School in Rockville, Maryland in 1999. He received a bachelor’s degree in history in 2004. In 2009 he will complete his teaching certification and will begin his career as an educator in the fall.
