Lauren, I know how you feel. I ain’t no “Spanish oral.”
Tonight was the first class period of my last course in my college career. It’s the second level of intermediate Spanish. Did I mention that I really can’t speak Spanish? Okay, now that we have that covered maybe you can understand how difficult it is to sit through 2.5 hours of nothing but that. Really. To anyone who ever goes to any country ever (including America, because English ain’t easy my friend) and can’t understand what’s going on, you have my sympathy. I know I’m being a baby about it. However, the only thing getting me through is knowing that it’s just once a week and that there is English on the other side. When I get out of class I get to go right back to my first language. I can’t imagine being somewhere where that was not possible
This is a video of a little boy that my parents take care of quite a bit. His dad is a good friend of my dad, so they have pretty much been around him since birth. He calls my dad “Big Tim” and my mom “NeeNee” which is sadly what she has decided she wants her grandchildren (Designs by Liz™) to call her.
How have I not seen this? Oh, up until a few days ago, I was a FredHead. That explains it.
What did you do today to make the world a better place?
Me? I taught three 2-year-olds to say “Gobble-gobble” à la Frank Caliendo.
“Falling Slowly” by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova
My friends and I, we dance.
It’s been a long time since there were this many movies I’d like to see in the theater.
OIL. Yum yum. It’s put food on the table my entire life.
Sigh. Who doesn’t love movies like this? A love story spanning a lifetime. I am always drawn to stories of people kept apart for some reason.
I haven’t read this book so I will have to run out and get it before the only copies available are the ones covered with a movie poster before I see it.
No reason, though Kevin would tell you that there IS a reason. And that reason would be Christian Bale. But it’s Christian Bale as Bob Dylan, one of the most unattractive men I can think of.
Oh my. *cries* This looks really good.
For the record, this would have worked on me (but I’m taken so nevermind). Let’s look at it. A serenade. ABBA. Umm…YES.
Some of my happiest memories are pretending to waltz around Granny’s living room while watching The King and I. And this movie, well, it’s just wonderful.
