Shabby Apple Giveaway! – Francine Skirt

Dresses from Shabby Apple
Shabby Apple, an online boutique of women’s dresses that I am affiliated with, has kindly offered to let me host a giveaway for one of their gorgeous skirts. Are you excited? Cause I am!

This giveaway is for Shabby Apple’s “Francine” skirt (in your own size, of course). It’s a classic cut pencil skirt that is versatile and great for many different kinds of occasions. I love the vintage look this skirt has with the high waist. The bow adds a touch of style and accentuates the trim cut at the waist. I wholeheartedly approve of this one :)

Want a chance to win? Here’s what you need to do:

  • MANDATORY FIRST ENTRY: “Like” Shabby Apple on Facebook and leave a comment here telling me you have done so.
  • “Like” Miss Wisabus on Facebook
  • Follow Miss Wisabus either on Google Friend Connect or by subscribing to the RSS feed (both on the side bar)
  • Tweet about this giveaway (Ex: “Enter now for a chance to win a skirt from @shabbyapple & @misswisabus! http://bit.ly/rMuYeW“)

Giveaway will close at 6pm Central, Monday, November 21.

Remember to leave a comment for each entry! Entrants who have not completed the mandatory first entry will be disqualified. Best of luck!

I am a Shabby Apple affiliate and some affiliate links were used in this post (meaning I receive a small percentage of commission if you click through and decide to make a purchase). I received no compensation for hosting this giveaway.

Twilight Saga Ultimate Fan Mix

After weeks of study and pouring over thousands of songs, The Twilight Saga Ultimate Fan Mix is done. (Actually, this has been a draft since January 30, 2009 *blinkblink* ) In my opinion, it is a work of art, much like the abdominal muscles of Edward Cullen—cold, hard, and chiseled. And so very beautiful. If you don’t agree then you can go sit and pout in the tent with Jacob while the rest of us go pulverize some bad guys into Powdered Vampire Concrete.

Since the premiere of Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 is tonight I thought I would go ahead and post this. True Twilight fan I am not, but I cannot deny my love/hate relationship with this saga. Some of these I put a lot of thought into and some are a little tongue-in-cheek (umm…especially the one from All Dogs Go To Heaven if you didn’t pick up on it). Enjoy!

Links are to YouTube videos or versions of the song available to listen to online where available.
* = no video available online at time of posting

◊ I’m not in love, so don’t forget it / It’s just a silly phase I’m going through
8. Leaving Side of Love – Tori Sparks (I don’t have a clue what’s going on in this fanvid, but it was the best version of the song I could find online. It’s completely unrelated, so just listen.)

Eclipse
9. How Deep Is Your Love – Jonatha Brooke (the “Stairway to Heaven” intro in this video makes it even better)

10. Don’t You Wanna Stay – Jake Bruene & Clara C
◊ We can make forever feel this way / Don’t you wanna stay

Successful Shopping Weekend

I’ve returned from Texas, bearing gifts for myself and others (those won’t be shown off since they’re for Christmas). It was a good trip and I haven’t spent that much time shopping in a while. A fact my husband is thankful for, I’m sure.

The biggest thing I made off with was a TV unit from IKEA. Since it was the one thing I really needed to get while we were down there I’m glad I was able to locate one to suit our needs.

It’s from the Hemnes living room collection. Bit by bit we’re going to add to this so that we can have a little more storage in the living room.

In the middle of our shopping when we needed a break we stopped off to catch an afternoon showing of Footloose. It was cheesy and FABULOUS.

How was your weekend?
